Nature of the service
SafePill QR is a free service that generates QR Codes containing a pre-filled WhatsApp link, useful as a personal reminder that a medication has been taken.
Recipients of the WhatsApp message
The generated QR Code opens WhatsApp with a pre-filled message. It is the user's responsibility to send this message always to themselves every time they record taking a medication, in order to keep a personal history. If necessary, the message can also be sent to a caregiver (family member, carer, healthcare worker or other trusted person) to share that the dose has been taken. SafePill QR does not send, store or forward any message on behalf of the user.
Minimum age
The Site is intended for an adult audience. Use of the service is reserved for adults aged 18 or over. Children under 18 may not use SafePill QR on their own and may do so only with the assistance and supervision of a parent or legal guardian.
Medical disclaimer
SafePill QR is not a medical device within the meaning of Regulation (EU) 2017/745 and does not in any way replace the advice of a doctor, pharmacist or other healthcare professional. Information managed by the user is used under their sole responsibility. If in doubt about taking a medication, always consult a qualified healthcare professional.
Limitation of liability
The Site is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. The owner is not liable for any direct or indirect damage arising from the use or failure of the service, including by way of example errors in administration, forgetfulness or malfunctions of WhatsApp or the user's device.
AI virtual assistant on package leaflets
The virtual assistant is an automated informational tool based on artificial intelligence that provides only general, standardised information drawn from international pharmaceutical references (global guidelines, INN active-substance monographs, WHO references). It does not consult national product leaflets and does not guarantee correspondence with them.
The assistant is not a medical device under Regulation (EU) 2017/745. It provides no diagnosis, prescription, personalised dosage or clinical triage and does not replace your doctor, pharmacist or other healthcare professional. Any personalised clinical request is refused.
Content is generated automatically and may be incomplete, outdated or incorrect ("hallucinations"). Users must always check the product's package leaflet and consult a healthcare professional. In an emergency, contact emergency medical services.
The service is intended for adults and must not be used for therapeutic decisions. The owner is not liable for damages arising from reliance on generated answers. Misuse (entering third parties' health data, attempts to bypass the assistant's limits, automated or bulk use) is prohibited. The service may be suspended or changed at any time. To prevent misuse, each chat session is limited to 5 questions per generated QR Code; the limit resets when a new QR Code is generated.
Pursuant to Regulation (EU) 2024/1689 (AI Act), users are informed that they are interacting with an artificial intelligence system.
Intellectual property
The "SafePill QR" trademark, design and content of the Site are protected by copyright law. Unauthorized reproduction is prohibited.
Applicable law and jurisdiction
These terms are governed by Italian law. For disputes with users/consumers resident in the European Economic Area, the courts of the place where the user/consumer has their residence or domicile shall have jurisdiction, as provided for by Articles 17-19 of Regulation (EU) No 1215/2012 (Brussels I bis). For all other disputes, the exclusive jurisdiction of the Courts of Venice shall apply.
